“Jurassic Jones” a.k.a Rebecca Jones BSc Hons
Hello all! A little introduction about me. Where to start, as long as I can remember I have always harboured an interest in all creatures, great and small. I enjoyed growing up with a varied menagerie covering furred, feathered and reptilian forms and I was lucky enough to pursue my natural history interest up to degree level. I studied for my Biological Sciences BSc at The University of Reading in Berkshire, UK, specialising in Zoology. I am now furthering my knowledge of the Mesozoic era, understanding the evolution, existence and the demise of the great dinosaurians and you’re welcome to join me on my journey, which I am logging along the way on this website.
In case you’re wondering, the picture was taken at Crystal Palace Park which has many sculptures of extinct wonders to enjoy. The statues were commissioned in 1852 to accompany the Crystal Palace Exhibition (based in South East London) and understood to be the first dinosaur sculptures in the world.
